compost
65Composed
God don't make no trash
A child is born in Bethlehem,
Redeemer of humanity;
His hunger is not satisfied,
Death descends at the age of three.
What a lot of rot, to decompose or not,
Got to do a lot to feed a garden rot,
Put crap in a pot and heat it til its hot,
Cart it, turn it over, but rot is what you got
Noone to preach forgiveness,
No redemption for our sins;
Noone to teach us acceptance,
No love of neighbor as thyself;
What a lot of rot, to decompose or not,
Got to do a lot to feed a garden rot,
Put crap in a pot and heat it til its hot,
Cart it, turn it alot, but rot is what you got.
What if Jesus had come and gone?
Just a bag of bones looking wan,
Hunger and want measured His life,
Disease and flies imposing strife;.
What a lot of rot, to decompose or not,
Got to do a lot to feed a garden rot,
Put crap in a pot and heat it til its hot,
Cart it, turn it round, but rot is what you got.
.Life is not recycleable,
The precious gift comes only once;
Unnourished plant n'er to blossom,
Heaven's flower to compost thrust.

TEN MILLION CHILDREN DIE FOR GREED
TEN MILLION CHILDREN STARVE TO DEATH EACH YEAR. One billion children live in poverty beside death's door. HUNGER is not a fact of life. Poverty is a fact of wealth.

Nature Preserve
Birds of pray for scraps of waste
Humans scrap for crumbs to taste,
Easy pickins for flocks of gulls
Scavengers to trash, the magnet pulls,
Preserve their nature to seek carrion
Human waste will always carry on,
Truckloads of food for feathered friends
Where the breadline never ends,
So like the aviary stock are man
Grabbing scraps where e're we can,
Diving in dumpsters to feed our needs
Hunters and gatherers whose hunger breeds.

The title caught my eye since I do gardening and have a compost bin in my back yard. There are several Scriptures that show the principle at work. I should look them up. I hope you promote this poem online. I'm glad you wrote it; it's quite thought provoking.
......you are striving to make this world a better place and through your passion, humility and intelligence you have succeeded brilliantly!
Wonderful hub, and a great poem. Wonderful photographs. God Bless You.
