Snowcast

Snowcast
Snows are on the way,
crystal flakes will pray;
let them have their say,
God will bring what may.
Blanket the earth in white,
drape the shrubs from sight;
wrap the dark of night,
make the whole world light.
Soften all that's hard,
inspire every bard;
cleanse all that is charred,
embrace us glacial guard.
suspend our disbelief,
extend us your relief;
unchain us from our grief,
unleash your mild mischief.

love your poem gerry. great rhyming!
Lovley work, the snow really has taken over these last few days!!
Very nice work. You have a very easily read meter.
This is so lovely and how very clever of you to make each line rhyme, really tricky in my limited experience to get the poem to make sense and your poem certainly does.
yep. It's God's whiteout on an ugly world, softens the harshness, mellows the masses, set's poets to the fires of passion, and gets lovers to snuggle. great write.~~~MFB III
I Had to read this Sligobay - I love the snow, although I rarely see it where I am currently living. You captured me with your words and my mind wandered through the snow once again. Great work here!
Thank you for this.

Nicely written, you do make it (the snow) sound Magical, so pure and cleansing for the soul...
Very nice. Snow blankets all the filth, for a short time, and brings the night alive.
You are a wonderful poet. And you have much good to say.
Yes justin is my brother haha
and thank you very much for the flattery.
Whats crazy is that I feel like my writing has actually gotten significantly better just in the past 3-4 days
the most recent ones I have written and published are all my favorites.
I think some of it has to do with the support I have received, and the belief people have in me. Plus the many great poems I have been reading
This is quite nice and somewhat less cold sounding than how I envision and think of winter. Nice poem and like your thoughts,
Mm
very good, sligo. Great feel to this poem!
